Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about selling your health data.
Is this legal?
Yes. You own your health data. With your explicit consent, you can share anonymized data with researchers. We're building HIPAA-compliant infrastructure to ensure everything is above board.
Will this affect my insurance?
No. We only share anonymized data—researchers never see your name, email, or any identifying information. Your insurance company won't know you're participating.
How much can I earn?
Earnings vary based on data quality, duration, and buyer demand. High-quality continuous glucose data typically ranges from $50-200 per month per buyer. Since you can sell to multiple researchers over time (with your approval each time), total earnings could be higher. We take 30%, you keep 70% of every transaction.
What data do you collect?
Only what you choose to share: glucose readings, timestamps, and basic demographics. We never access your name, address, social security number, or insurance information.
Can I stop sharing anytime?
Absolutely. You can pause or delete your account at any time. Any data you've already sold to researchers stays with them (they paid for it), but no new data is shared.
Who buys this data?
Medical researchers, AI companies building glucose prediction algorithms, and pharmaceutical companies studying diabetes trends. All buyers are vetted and must agree to ethical use policies.
Built on transparency
Mieru means "visible" in Japanese. We believe you should see exactly who uses your data, how it's protected, and what you earn. No black boxes. No hidden terms. Just fair compensation for data you already generate.
